The Williams Baptist College baseball team hosted Crowley's Ridge College, on Monday afternoon, at Shell Field. The games were moved from Tuesday to Monday due to the threat of inclement weather. The Eagles picked up a pair of wins on Monday and improved to 7-10 this season.
In game one, the Eagles led 2-0 heading into the top of the sixth inning, but the Pioneers would rally and tie the game at 2-2. Eric Kent (SR/Ft. Madison, Iowa) lashed an RBI single to left field for the go-ahead run in the bottom half of the inning, and Braxton Rhodes (SO/Fayette, Ala.) drew a bases loaded walk to extend the lead to 4-2. Kent finished 2-for-2 and Tucker Smith (SR/Horn Lake, Miss.) finished 1-for-3 with a RBI triple. Eagles starter Dylan Disotell (SR/Junction City, Ark.) had a fantastic day on the mound. He threw five innings, surrendered only one hit, no runs, one walk and had four strikeouts. Josh McKeithen (SO/Commerce, Texas) picked up the win in relief, pitching the final two innings. WBC stole six bases as a team in the first game on Monday.

Brad Gilliam (SO/Greenwood, Ark.), Anthony Noftsger (JR/Green Forest, Ark.), Tyler Ball (SR/Memphis, Tenn.) and Eric Kent combined to give up only three hits, three walks and earn seven strikeouts.
