How it Happened:
WBC used a strong second quarter to end sixth ranked Lyon College's 19-game win streak. After trailing 15-6 at the end of the 1st quarter, the Lady Eagles came out firing, outscoring the Lady Scots 23-11 in the second frame to take a 29-26 lead at halftime. The second half was more back and forth, with Williams winning 16-13 in the 3rd, before edging Lyon 19-18 in the final quarter, ending the score at 64-57 in favor of WBC.

The Lady Eagles held a 47-to-34 rebounding edge, including 17 offensive boards.
WBC had 10 assists on 22 made field goals, while Lyon had six assists on 20 made baskets.
Inside the Box Score:
Alytrius Perry (JR/Marked Tree, Ark. ) led all scorers with 19 points. She also contributed with four rebounds and four assists while playing all 40 minutes.
Michaela Thompson (SR/Viola, Ark.) had a career high 15 rebounds, while scoring 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
Andrea Moffitt (JR/Lexington, Tenn. ) collected a double-double as well with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Alisha Stone (SR/Blytheville, Ark.) was the only other Lady Eagle in double figures with10 points, including three, 3-point baskets.
Lyon's Jamie Jackson led them with 16 points, but Williams was able to hold her to 3-of-15 shooting from the floor.
American Midwest Conference Outlook:
The win improves WBC's conference record to 11-8. They sit in sixth place in the AMC, two games behind fourth place with five games remaining. The top four places will host a tournament game.
The Lady Eagles travel to 11th ranked Freed-Hardeman University on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Following that, they will return home to face William Woods University on Thursday, Feb. 18.
