Walnut Ridge, Ark. - The Williams Baptist College men's cross country team competed in the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning. The Eagles finished 10th out of 12 teams in the event.
Davis Fetzer (SO/Defiance, Mo. ) (38th, 28:05 PR), Alex Van Herpen (FR/Mansfield, Ark. ) (40th, 28:14) and John Fairris (SO/Strong, Ark. ) (42nd, 28:19) gave Williams three top-50 finishes in the meet.
Mathew Bell (SO/Harrison, Ark. ) finished just outside of the top-50, coming in 52nd with a time of 28:47 for a personal record. Rounding out the times for WBC were: Ben Warner (SR/Magnolia, Ark. ) (71st, 29:40), Dakota Dwyer (SO/Mountain Home, Ark.) (78th, 30:19), Antonio Carlos (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil ) (86th, 31:01 PR), Levi Yarbro (FR/Imboden, Ark. ) (90th, 31:25), Jacob Brown (FR) (104th, 34:51 PR), Noah Stoddard (SO/Paragould, Ark.) (106th, 35:13) and Colton Babbitt (SO/Benton, Ark. ) (111th, 41:53).
The next meet for Williams will be the American Midwest Conference Championships on Friday, November 6. The event will be held in Henderson, Tenn., with a TBA start time.
