Walnut Ridge, Ark. – The Williams Baptist College baseball and softball regular seasons are winding down and this weekend will mark the final home American Midwest Conference games for both Eagles baseball and Lady Eagles softball. Both teams will host conference matches on Friday, April 18 before honoring their seniors on Saturday, April 19.
The baseball squad hosts Freed-Hardeman University in a three game set. Game one will be played Friday at 3 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at noon.
Softball will play a doubleheader on Friday, against William Woods University, beginning at 2 p.m. The Lady Eagles will host another doubleheader, on Saturday, against Missouri Baptist University. The first pitch will be thrown at 11:30 a.m.
The team will honor its six seniors prior to the series against Missouri Baptist. Cendyl Carter, Kirsten Gipson, Tori Henson, Hallie Horton, Mallory Siebert and Teighlor Williams will be recognized at 11:00 a.m.
Williams appreciates the efforts of these 10 seniors, as well as all student-athletes. The school encourages spectators to join in on the weekend's festivities.
