Walnut Ridge, Ark. – The 2013 bracket has been announced for the 55th annual Williams Baptist College Tournament, which begins Saturday, November 30th. Riverside High School has been selected as the top seed in the boy's set and two-time defending WBC Tournament champion Marmaduke High School has earned the top seed in the girl's category.
This year's tournament also has the addition of two new boy's teams, including Bay and Westside High Schools.
The top three seeds in the boy's bracket are Riverside (1), Bay (2), and Pocahontas (3), with each receiving a bye in the first round. They are followed by Westside (4), Maynard (5), Hillcrest (6), Viola (7), Corning (8), Walnut Ridge (9), Marmaduke (10), Tuckerman (11), Black Rock, (12), and Sloan-Hendrix (13).
In the girl's bracket, the top five schools will receive a bye. In order, the seeds are Marmaduke (1), Corning (2), Pocahontas (3), Southside (4), and Viola (5). Rounding out the girl's bracket are Tuckerman (6), Sloan-Hendrix (7), Walnut Ridge (8), Maynard (9), Hillcrest (10), and Black Rock (11).
The seeds were selected by a vote of tournament coaches.
