Walnut Ridge, Ark. - Reece Posey (FR/Saginaw, Texas) shot even par on the final day of the Freed-Hardeman University Invitational to lead the Williams Baptist College golf team to a seventh place finish. The two day tournament was played in Covington, Tenn., and featured ten different schools.
Posey led the team for the second consecutive tournament, this time finishing with a score of 150. He shot 78 on day one, and followed that up with 72 on day two. The freshman finished in a tie for 12th place individually.
Hill McCrory (FR/Madison, Ala.) finished in 22nd place with scores of 78 and 76. Jacob Webb (FR/Drasco, Ark.) shot 77 on day one and 79 on the final day, finishing in 32nd place. WBC's two other men's golfers finished in 41st and 64th place. Jordon Dennis (FR/Hughes Springs, Texas) finished the tournament with a total score of 159, while Drake Oaks (JR/Cabot, Ark.) finished with 169.
As a team, the Eagles shot nine strokes better on day two than they did on day one.
On the women's side, Lady Eagles golfer Kenzie Piker (FR/Bald Knob, Ark.) improved by 20 strokes from day one to day two. She finished in 25th place in the tournament after a final score of 238.
