Walnut Ridge, Ark. - The Williams Baptist College volleyball program has announced four additions to its squad for the 2017-18 school year. Kayla Green (FR/Beebe, Ark.) and Molly Mingo (FR/Wynne, Ark.) join Andrea Moffitt (SR/Lexington, Tenn.) and Makenzie Moore (SR/Nikiski, Alaska) as newcomers to the team.
"We lost a lot of valuable talent with our seven graduating seniors. It has been my top priority to bring in student-athletes with the attitude, work ethic, and talent to take this team to the next level. Top to bottom, I know that we have accomplished that goal," said Head Coach Emily Stober.
Green comes to the Lady Eagles via Beebe High School. The defensive specialist honors include being named All-State, as well as the Badger Pride Award. She also was a member of a conference championship team.
"Kayla knows what it means to work hard. After spending time with her, as well as her family, I believe she is an excellent fit for our program and WBC," said Stober.
Mingo joins Williams after graduating from Wynne High School in Wynne, Ark. The two time All-Conference honoree also served as her class president and was a member of the National Honor Society.
"Molly stands out on and off the court. She is an outstanding young lady who holds the potential to make a lasting impact on our team," added Stober.
Andrea Moffitt joins the WBC volleyball team after being a member of the Lady Eagles basketball team the last two seasons. She was a two-time honorable mention all-conference player. Moore rejoins the team after playing for them in 2014-15.
The Lady Eagles are scheduled to open play at the Dearborn Early Bird Challenge on August 25. You can follow along with the Eagles season at www.wbceagles.com.
